Laserex extraction
systems for Laser Generated Fumes
Purex Laserex™ extractors are specifically designed to integrate with
laser production processes that produce hazardous laser fumes. Purex International
engineers are available to advise on the correct combination of pre-filter,
main filter and machine required for any specific process, including:
-
- Laser marking
- Laser drilling & cutting
- Laser engraving
- and laser welding
Industries supplied
Purex laser fume extractors are compatible with common C02, Yag
and Diode lasers. A wide range of materials are used in the processes
above.
They include paper, foil, glass, plastics, metals, wood, enamel and
ceramics. Purex supply many of the following industries: -
- Beverage, brewery and packaging
- Medical and pharmaceutical
- Cosmetic
- Food processing
- Aerospace manufacturing
- Semiconductor
- Electronics and automotive
- Machine tool manufacturing
- Defence and nuclear
- General engineering
System features
The Laserex laser fume extractors can be connected to existing
machinery using custom or standard extraction manifolds. The fume extractor
can be linked to a line control circuit so that it starts and stops with
the main machinery.
Failsafe controls can also be set to stop the line if extraction flow
rate falls below a pre-set minimum or hazardous gases get through the system.
Unlike "vent to atmosphere" systems, the Purex system can be relocated
with a production line quickly and efficiently with no pipework contamination
issues.
Features and Benefits:
- Digital control system
with graphic display
- Automatic
flow control
- Speed
control
- Filter and pump module upgrades
- Reverse flow configuration
- Compact dimensions
- Low operating noise
- Continuous exhaust air monitoring using gas and
particle sensors
- Audible
and visual alerts
- Easy maintenance
Energy and cost savings in real terms.
In addition to the safe extraction and filtration of dust and fumes, Purex systems offer real cost savings. Unlike
external venting systems, Purex machines recirculate air from
the factory so that heating & air conditioning costs are reduced.
Used
in conjunction with laser processes, Purex systems prevent the
beam becoming attenuated due to dust and fumes generated during marking
and cutting. Expensive lens damage due to the creation of "Hot spots" is also avoided.
Further benefits include:
- No planning permission required to cut holes in roofs
- No loss of building/roofing warranties
- No bulky and expensive pipework
- No build up of pipework contamination
